year Position of marker (year) Yes
start First year of timeline No Defaults to 4004 B.C.
end Last year of timeline No Defaults to this year (2019)
text Text of marker Yes e.g. 1000 B.C.
align Alignment (left or right) No 'left' (default) or 'right' (case-sensitive)
marker Text to use to mark point, e.g. ♦ No If no marker is provided, a thin vertical line is drawn instead.
Note

Alignment left (the default) means that the marker (or thin vertical line) is placed to the left of the text. Alignment right means that the marker (or thin vertical line) is placed to the right of the text. The latter would be used where there is not enough room for the text to be to the right of the marker.
